Basic Exposure Blending Video

Tutorials

So I've been inundated with requests for a video or tutorial on exposure blending. I've literally been asked by like, three people.
As my full on exposure blending tutorial is still a ways away from being finished, I thought I'd do a quick and dirty video tutorial and basic write up on how I exposure blend.

So, here it is... [best viewed in HD].

Like I said, quick and dirty.

If you want a more detailed explanation of the process, hit the Read More button, if not, go about your business.

Whats up photography people?

Sorry about the lack of updates recently, busy busy busy bee.

Okay, the title says it all.
I'm looking to do more tutorials and write ups for the site. Instead of just going other things I reckon are useful, I wanna hear what you guys wanna know.

Drop me an email through the site or leave a comment at the bottom of this and tell me what you wanna learn about.

I can cover...

  • Gear
  • Shooting technique
  • Post-Production

With the technique and post production stuff I'll try to do videos for as well, either screen captures of what I do in Lightroom and Photoshop, or videos of me faffing about with the camera whilst shooting.

If theres anything at all you wanna learn, don't hesitate to ask.

Theres no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers, and I'll try my best not to give those.

Get in touch!

TTFN,
Matt.

Video - Basic Landscape Edit

Tutorials

Thought I'd upload a quick video of a basic landscape image edit in Photoshop.

I initially processed the RAW in Lightroom, then exported a TIF into Photoshop, which you'll see me process.
I'll do a video of my Lightroom workflow soon.

Any questions, leave a comment or drop me an email.

Enjoy.

Coming Soon - My full-on Exposure blending tutorial

Tutorials

So I've been working on a tutorial on exposure blending for quite a while now.
Its finally out of the planning stages, and getting written. Slowly.
I use the technique a lot in my work, as even the most accurate exposure isn't enough sometimes, especially when faced with such extreme contrasts you get in seascapes.
So I thought I'd pass on some of my wisdom.

So far, the tutorials going to be structured like this -
